Utah Society for Environmental Education (USEE) is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to promoting environmental education (EE) throughout the state. In order to carry out our mission, we rely on member support for our core programs and services. We are in the process of rebuilding and strengthening our membership base, starting with the community of EE professionals participating in the annual conference. You are the “Society” which makes USEE thrive. When you join your fellow Utah environmental educators, your membership supports the Utah Green Schools program, the Utah Environmental Education Certification program, professional development via “The Projects” (Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree), and the annual Utah Environmental Education Conference.
One benefit of membership is that you receive discounts on USEE programs, events, and services that have a fee, including the annual conference. Membership is optional, but the savings on conference registration is nearly as much as annual dues.
Member Conference Discount = 15% off (applies to all employees of member organizations)
In order to qualify for the member discount, you will need to join or renew your membership before completing your conference registration.
Presenter Discount is 10% for up to two presenters.
We do not have a way to incorporate this discount into the registration, so we will be issuing a refund separately.
We are actively seeking sponsors to help underwrite the costs associated with hosting the annual Utah Environmental Education Conference. If you are part of an EE organization, we hope you will consider sponsoring this year's conference. If you know any businesses that support environmental education in Utah, please share this link to EE Conference Sponsorship.
(Note: Depending on the level of sponsorship, complimentary conference registration may be available to one or more employees of your organization.)
Depending on available funding, USEE may be able to waive (or reimburse) some (or all) of the cost of conference registration through limited scholarships. We will announce scholarship opportunities as they arise, along with information on how to apply. If you have a particular need for financial assistance, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire.
In conjunction with the conference, USEE will be hosting an optional one-day workshop and additional networking activities. These are generally open to friends & family who might not be attending the conference. This year's events include:
When: April 6, 2017, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Location: Downtown Logan
EVENING SOCIAL & TRIP TO USU OBSERVATORY
When: Thursday, April 6, 2017 6-9:30 P.M.
Location: Quinney College of Natural Resources Atrium, USU
Cost: $7 per person, $25 for families of 4 or more
OPEN TO CONFERENCE ATTENDEES AND FAMILY ONLY
(included at end of registration below)
Full conference and one-day registration fees are eligible for refunds, if requested before March 15, 2017. All other requests must be submitted in writing no later than April 15, 2017 and a $25 administrative fee will be applied. All refunds will be processed after the conference; it may take up to three months to receive funds. No refunds will be given after April 30, 2017.
USEE recognizes that “life happens." If you are unable to attend the conference, you may transfer your registration to another person. In rare cases, we may extend the terms and issue refunds, or offer credit for the 2018 conference, for extenuating circumstances.
Please send contact information, and the reason you are requesting a refund to email@example.com.
